This design was for a high-altitude interceptor and was designed around the huge BMW 018 turbojet, which had a thrust of 3500 kp (7700 lbs) static thrust and was estimated to be ready in 1944. The jet engine was mounted beneath the fuselage, thus necessitating a very deep forward fuselage. The wing was straight with a slight taper on the leading edge and a more pronounced taper on the trailing edge. Bulges on the underside of the wing roots accommodated the inward retracting main wheels, and the cockpit was armored and pressurized. An altitude of 15000 m (50000 feet) was calculated to be the operating height for this fighter, to be reached in 11 minutes. Armament was to consist of one MK 103 30mm cannon and two MG 151/20 20mm cannon, or one MK 112 or MK 114 55mm cannon and two MG 151/20 20mm cannon. A swept wing version was also studied, but neither project progressed past the design stage.
