BMW Schnellbomber II 3 view     With this design, BMW utilized a 45 degree swept-forward wing, with power supplied by two BMW 028 turboprop engines. The engines were mounted on arms that lifted the turboprop units above the fuselage. This was to keep any prop turbulence from the control surfaces, which could adversly affect handling. The engine mounting arrangement also meant the landing gear, which was of a tricycle type) could be kept short. The two man crew sat in a pressurized cockpit located in the fuselage nose. Defensive armament consisted of two fixed cannon firing to the rear.
